JCLS & Fugro make additional improvements to FLI-MAP 400
John Chance Land Surveys and Fugro have introduced an enhanced capability laser scanner and improved cameras to the latest FLI-MAP system.
The latest FLI-MAP 400 VS (Variable Speed) scanner can be operated at effective pulse rates of 150,000, 200,000 or 250,000 pulses per second.
Integration with the on-board line scan camera, used to provide colorization of the laser data, is now acomplished in "real time" directly on-board the scanner.
Forward looking and mapping cameras on the latest system have been improved from 11 megapixel to 16 megapixel, and the option to use twin 16 megapixel mapping cameras has been added, providing further improved mapping camera capabilities at the higher altitudes now available due to laser scanner improvements.
a seventh FLI-MAP system will become operational in Q3 of 2009, enhancing availability to Fugro operating companies worldwide.
